FAQs

A registered login allows us to uniquely identify YOU. This means that your application details are saved for you to access later, it also means if you wish to apply for more jobs in the future you can copy details from your old application saving you time by not having to start from scratch. We ask you to confirm ownership of your email address so that we know that you have typed it correctly and that you also own the email address. This means we can then use your email address to communicate with you about your application progress.

At DPD we want to ensure that everybody's application is handled fairly and in the same way. This is achieved by using an online system to manage our applications, so by applying online we are able to handle your application effectively and efficiently.

All offers of employment are subject to checks that are undertaken to verify and validate the information you have provided. These checks will cover information you have disclosed to us including previous job experience, personal and professional references and any other details you have supplied. For all jobs you will be required to undergo a Basic Disclosure check. Driving licence checks will be carried out where appropriate. You will also be required to complete a medical screening questionnaire when you start in your role.

Our systems and processes are compliant with our Data Protection Policy and relevant legislation. Your data held in our system will be automatically archived if your account is inactive for 12 months.

In compliance with The Data Protection Act 1988, your information will only be made available to parties that need access to it, for example the Recruitment Team or the Line Manager if you are invited to attend an interview.

You are not required to disclose spent convictions covered by the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 in the UK or under your equivalent national legislation. A conviction becomes 'spent' after a certain length of time, which varies depending upon the sentence and your age at the time of conviction. If you have ever been convicted of an offence for which a sentence of more than 2 years was imposed (regardless of the amount you have actually spent in prison) then this conviction can never become spent.

If you need further clarity on your own status you should contact your local Probation Office, the Citizens Advice Bureau or your solicitor.

You will get an email receipt when you apply for a job. When you submit an application you will see a thank you response on screen. You may wish to print this page and save it for your records. You can also go to ‘Manage My Profile’ (a link in the top corner) where you can view a list of applications you have made via the My Applications menu item.

This information is gathered and used solely for monitoring purposes and is not visible to the hiring manager for any vacancies. We use the information to ensure and monitor equality of opportunity for all applicants.

Yes, you will receive an email informing you whether you have passed the application stage. Further selection stages may apply and you will be notified of the outcome of further stages by email in the same way.

You must bring a valid passport (with supporting work permit where applicable) or your Birth Certificate and a copy of your National Insurance Number (either on your NI card, a P45 or Payslip) to your interview.
