Overview of Role

We are looking for an outstanding individual skilled in the art of negotiation, resolution and relationship management. DPD have 8 Regions within their Network and as the successful candidate you will have accountability for 4 Regions covering the Midlands up to Scotland. Currently this consists of 28 Depots and over 2200 ODF’s.

Your primary responsibility will be to effectively manage the relationship and upward and downward communication to our ODF population, Depot Management and Senior Management. This is a crucial role in achieving our exceptional service levels, as our ODF’s are critical to the successful delivery and collection of parcels for our customers and end consumer. We also expect you to

  • Effectively manage the relationship and communication channels between our ODF population, depot and Senior Management teams 
  • Developing strong working relationships and identify any communication gaps that need to be addressed
  • Creating and facilitating depot and regional ODF Focus Groups, to gain an in-depth understanding of any issues, concerns and service improvement ideas that our ODF'S have
  • Working with ODF's, Depot and Senior Management teams to move forward discussions and agree resolution 
  • Significant travel with overnight stays will be expected in this role 

About You

You must be able to evidence a successful track record in relationship management and conflict resolution within the distribution or similarly related industry. You will be comfortable operating in an environment where working efficiently under pressure and at pace is critical,

Your outstanding communication and interpersonal skills will stand you in good stead in this role as will your ability to think strategically/tactically. We’ll also expect you to;

  • Be a strong negotiator with the ability to influence both upwards and downwards within the organisation 
  • Have decisive decision-making and time management skills 
  • Have strong presentation skills 
  • Have the ability to effect and successfully implement change 
  • Demonstrate high levels of resilience, self-motivation and flexibility 
  • Hold a full valid driving licence
