Overview of Role

Your primary responsibility will be to create a highly positive experience for all our customers, both internal and external, that need help in relation to either the collection or delivery of their parcel. You will work closely with Drivers, Shift Managers and Operations Managers. Proactively problem solving, identifying issues and taking accountability and ownership for resolving these are key requirements in this role.

Additional responsibilities will include

  • Providing customers with delivery status of their parcel(s)
  • Supplying customers with evidence of Proof of Delivery (POD)
  • Proactively advising customers of any exception information   
  • Carrying out thorough investigations for missing parcels and delivery disputes
  • Promoting company products and services to new and existing customers

About you

To be successful in this role you must be able to evidence proven and demonstrable customer service experience ideally gained within a busy environment.

Passionate about providing a quality service your naturally strong customer service skills and excellent telephone manner will be fully utilised in this role as will your ability to work on your own initiative and remain polite and professional at all times. We will also expect you to have;

  • High levels of self-motivation and initiative to resolve problems
  • A confident telephone manner and excellent relationship building skills
  • A good understanding of MS Office and administration skills
  • A willingness to go the ‘extra mile’ to exceed expectations
  • The ability to work in a pressurised environment
  • Demonstrate the DPD DNA Values of– Flexibility, Accountability, Respect, Honesty, Hard Work, Passion.

Specific requirements

Our Depots are operational 7 days a week so you must be able to work 5 shifts across 7 days to include some weekend working.
