As a Graduate Analyst with DPD your primary responsibility will be to develop the necessary skills and knowledge to be considered for the role of management Departmental Analyst, upon completion of a 3-year development programme. This development programme has been expertly designed to enable you to build your knowledge or parcel logistics and your knowledge of our industry leading solutions and technology

As you progress and develop your knowledge of parcel logistics you will be required to travel throughout your aligned region so a flexible approach to working hours and shift patterns is critical. The great news is that after 1 year on this scheme you will be provided with a car.

You will be aligned to the Head of DPD Local Analytics and complete projects whilst gaining valuable exposure to a variety of departments and business units to fully understand the role and areas of impact.

The core purpose of your role will be to

  • Support and develop the short-term and long-term objectives of DPD Local in accordance with the corporate strategy
  • To support and improve the DPD Local network through identification, planning, implementation, review of business objectives, operational and procedural enhancements.
  • To drive service excellence across the Network, working closely with the franchisees to ensure business development and growth through an active involvement within Sales and Customer Retention Management.
  • To provide a world class Customer experience throughout all communication channels and customer experience, ensuring cross fertilisation of best practices.

Your key area of responsibility will include;

  • Identify trends and Key Performance Indicators (KPI) that could be beneficial to the Business.
  • Produce daily / weekly / monthly performance reports with recommendations in order to improve.
  • Identify and resolve all data issues, providing ad-hoc reporting to the Network team.
  • Produce information and summaries in an insightful clear and concise manner.
  • To provide data analysis and intelligence to internal colleagues and external customers
  • To assist and development of new strategies across all departments
  • Supporting and development of Corporate Sales Strategy, using the internal reporting systems
  • Supporting and planning strategic growth.Quantifiable improvement in service brought about by such change
  • Identify trends through benchmarking and KPI’s that could raise concerns or become best practice


About You

To be considered for this Graduate opportunity you must have gained at least a 2:1 (or equivalent) in a Business/Mathematics/IT Degree. Your CV will clearly demonstrate strong analytical, numeracy and communication skills.

You will be passionate about enhancing both the customer experience and business performance and your naturally strong attention to detail and continuous improvement philosophy will be fully utilised in this position as will your strong understanding of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. You will be comfortable using PowerPoint/Keynote and have some Presentation experience.

Due to the time-critical nature of our business to succeed in this role you must be

  • Resourceful and resilient, when researching/searching for data from all internal systems
  • Able to work under pressure to demanding deadlines
  • Ability to effectively manage your workload and prioritise tasks according to deadlines, importance and urgency.
