Job Description

Responsible for supporting the Senior Analyst with the implementation and operation of DPD Pickup by providing quality administrative and analytical support, key responsibilities of this role are:
  • Ensuring the availability of PDA kits across the Pickup Network. This includes organising the collection and delivery of PDA kits to and from stores
  • Maintaining a comprehensive and up to date PDA Spreadsheet
  • Managing and updating key systems necessary for the pickup operation such as Salesforce and Pickup Portal, ensuring these are updated regularly and accurately
  • Ensuring there is sufficient inventory available both for the customer and the office in particular, printer labels
  • Establishing and maintaining a diarised system to ensure that all regular and ad-hoc returns of information to central departments or other outside bodies, are completed and sent on a timely basis
  • Administering the depot’s petty cash in accordance with company policy
  • Controlling the issue and recording of purchase orders to suppliers. Inputting authorised orders into computerised systems
  • Checking supplier invoices against orders, coding invoices and presenting to the Senior Pickup Analyst for authorisation
  • Forwarding information to Central Finance in support of key control account reconciliations, eg Purchase Order Listing
  • Providing an administrative service to the team including the maintenance of all filing systems, printing and filing of reports, telephone answering and typing. Distributing incoming internal and external mail ensuring that correspondence requiring a reply is logged and followed up
  • Liaising with Central Billing and Credit Control to resolve queries.
    Ideally, you will:
  • Have a “whatever it takes” attitude and a desire to exceed customers expectations
  • Demonstrate a good level of numerical competency
  • Have a good level of IT literacy, particularly in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Have good standard of written and oral communication
  • Be a self starter with an ability to show initiative
  • Be highly organised in order to meet multiple deadlines and respond to business needs as they arise
  • Be a team player and willing to take on additional tasks outside area of expertise
  • Have the ability to progress and complete an apprenticeship development programme over the course of 2 years
  • Be able to manage own time and workload regarding all aspects of the Apprentice Programme
